Processing and manufacturing industry
Progecta implements automation and control systems for machinery and processing lines in the manufacturing sector. Solutions use control hardware such as PLC, PAC, RTU, etc., handling devices such as motors, drives and robots and devices for the operator PC interface, thin client and control boards. Progecta helps the client to select the best suited devices on the market and the programmes for the specific applications, using industrial standard software.
Progecta also develops applications for the supervision and control of plant, machinery and processes (both continuous, batch and a combination of the two), as well as the operator interface which can be accessed either from the plant or remotely (via the internet) for solutions that use remote management or telephone assistance. Progecta is also able to integrate the software and data from the field with the company’s IT infrastructure. To do this it uses products available on the market or designs tailor made software for factory automation and business intelligence: advanced reporting, analysis and optimization of key performance indicators (KPIs).
This set of services allows the client to quantify and justify expenditure on automation, to identify and understand inefficiencies and to improve the OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) of the whole plant. Progecta helps the client in the implementation of new systems and the expansion or revamping of existing plant, for example: dosing systems, production lines for manufacturing and process industries, robotic cells, handling systems, automatic warehouses. Progecta’s experience and expertise means it can easily handle projects in environments which are subject to strict regulations, for example where special solutions are needed to protect data, control access or register operator activities.
